Hugh Bodell's R8 Quiz #124
A couple of years ago I took some coins from my safe deposit box to my office scanner and made some images. Here's R8 quiz 124:
What kind of minting anomaly is this?
What variety is this?
Does this one have a lettered edge?
T/F--more of this variety are known in mint state than for 1846 N13.
The specimen of this variety with this same minting anomaly appearing in the EAC 06 sale also appeared in which other EAC sale?
Enjoy! Hugh Bodell

The minting anomaly on the coin in R8 quiz 124 is known as off center. With the liberty cap, RTY not far above the hair and the joint of the hair and forehead under the left foot of Y, this one is 1795 S-78. It does not have a lettered edge, but there are many more of these known in mint state than 1846 N13's. The EAC '06 sale off center piece also appeared in the EAC '04 sale.
