My name is Jerry and I've had collecting spurts off and on for 50 odd years. My father passed away a few years back and left me a collection of half cents and large cents that I never really looked at. I know from my experience and Heritage auctions that some varieties of coppers are more valuable than others, but I've never seriously looked into the all the aspects of it. Now that I"m retired I'd like to take the journey and learn enough to attribute what I have and prepare it for a future sale.
My question is: What are the best books I should purchase to learn about N numbers and die states and rarity? and where do I purchase them? Any help would be most appreciated.
