1820 or 1822? - What is going on with the date?
At first this appears to be a date of 1820 - but could it be 1822? What is going on with the 0? I cannot really tell that it is damage. The Reverse could possibly be that of 1820 (N-4) Reverse D...which is the same (with a slightly different description) as 1822 N-7 (Reverse G). [Noyes: United States Large Cents 1816 - 1839]. Does anyone have any insight on this?
Definitely an 1820. Date looks pretty clear to me.
It's a 1820 N-4. Looks like damage on the 0.
