Earlier this year, I happened to be talking with some of my coin friends in western NY. These friends don't belong to the EAC but expressed interest in attending the show. One of them lives just outside Buffalo and was unable to find any advertising info about the show. He's long been active with the BNA, and he noted that nothing was posted about the convention upon that website. This scenario led to my volunteering to help with publicity for next year's convention.
I'd like to solicit thoughts and suggestions about advertising from all concerned EAC members. Perhaps, with better advertising of the gathering, we can attract some new members.
The first place that I'd expect to see some advertising, ASAP, is on the EAC website AND in Copper Notes.
What are the dates for the 2013 EAC Convention?
Where is it to be held? Hours? Admission free?
How many dealers? Events/Seminars?
Once the info becomes available to the general membership, perhaps some would then volunteer to get the event posted upon their state and/or local numismatic website? We could track the postings on Copper Notes to avoid duplication. Sound like a plan?
