Good Morning, I'll go first in the Intoduction Forum
My name is BillA. Like many I started collecdting Lincoln cents in the mid 1950's. I tell people that I started collecting because my older brother did, and to be a properly annoying little brother I felt it was my duty. Since that time I branched out to all US "Presidential Protrait" series, assembling two sets of each coin, circulated as well as uncirculated. A lull in collecting for those child rearing years then I began to get back into my collections. I assembled a XF+ set of IHC's then started a date set of Large Cents.
Along the way I decided to focus on the copper coins I started with, and sold all the nickel through dollar sets. This allowed me to upgrade my Lincoln cent set, IHC's, and to complete a date set of Large Cents. I also began pursuing Two Cent pieces. Two of my two cent sets (circulation strike and proof) are ranked nicely in the NGC Registry. These are the only slabbed coins I own.
With my refocus on copper collecting I began to learn attribution and have spent many enjoyable hours thus engaged. I am a member of the EAC, ANA, MSNS, CWTS, Collectors Society, Numissociety.com, and am assisting in re-establishing a local coin club. Coin collecting allows me to participate in another hobby, that of photography. Here is one of my favorite token pictures.
