If the seller ended the auction early the auction page would still be available for viewing for 90 days. This was taken down by eBay. Yesterday I sumitted an angry letter to ebay complaining that they were doing nothing, invoked the name of EAC and advised that I knew that the item had been reported several times by several different people. I closed with "all eyes are on this matter now"
Still, I'd like to know how it was handled with the seller. Perhaps I'll have to put a China'fiet up for auction myself and get you good folks to report it untill it is taken down or untill I have to shut down my auction myself.
Good job for dumping on ebay. I hope some good comes out of it.
Maybe Ebay needs official experts from EAC, ANA, PCGS, etc, that could be employed to judge/police the authenticity
of coins. Seems that would make sense, since it would preserve the integrity of the hobby, and because
Ebay is such a giant world-wide market!
Lets face it, a flood of counterfeits, will lower overall coin values, and discourage buyers!
