Tom Deck usually has them posted on the EAC homepage as soon as Bob Grellman and Chris McCawley release them. Just keep an eye out.
Speaking for myself, I avoid coins with scratches or other damage on primary focal points and I can't stand rim dings. Those are my two big deductions.
I'm assuming you will have copies available at the convention Greg?

Looks pretty natural to me. Most of the wear is at the top behind the forehead as it should be. Tops of curls aren't complete. I'd say no tooling. Nice coin!

Most likely these were instances where the maximum mail bid received had beaten the reserve (if any) and so that was where the floor bid began, thus the coin didn't merit a pass.
