I got this 1796 today to fill a hole in my date set. The coin is a perfect 2. It has a date, but no reverse. I thought someone would have an idea as to which 96 it is or is not. Thanks for the help...

I'm a beginner with the Noyes book - but I'm guessing S-91 from the distance of the bust to the 6 and the low T position. I enjoy trying to figure out unattributed ebay coins.
I bought a 1796 on e-bay for cheap once that was misattributed in the listing, and my only evidence was that
the position of the 6 was not in the correct place for the Sheldon number he had described. So, I
bid and won it. Upon delivery I started my attribution investigation only to discover that the reverse was
nearly in 180 degree rotation. Although barely visible and super faint reverse, it was still attributable.
It ended up being an S-90. Quite a rarity, so exhaust your attribution skills
and you may be pleasantly surprised!!....cloroxat...(another Scott)
and..I tend to agree with Scott, it looks like it's probably an S-91
