I'll show you mine but you have to show me yours! This was another purchase of mine from EAC 2011:
Who else has one?

I do, but it's not nearly that nice! I'll try and grab a decent pic of it soon. I'd say mine's a 3 net 2.

Hi Guys. Am I missing something ? What are we showing . . . S-196's, EAC 2011 purchases, or just nice clean early dates ?

My original intent was a show and tell of S-196's. Just one of my favorites. I like the "across the room" varieties!

Ah, I get it. I don't have an S-196, but I do have an S-203 which is immediately recognizable "across the room" from either the sawtooth on obverse or incused bust on the reverse.

Very nice! 1800 is a great year for cool varieties.

Great coins! Sadly I can't share as for some reason I have no 1800 dates yet. May be time to do some shopping!

I agree. 1800 is a great year. 1803 also has an amazing number of strange varieties. Craig Hamling and Shawn Yancey both have some pretty decent and very inexpensive 1800's on their web-sites.

Let's see if I can attach mine.

It was in a "problem" NCS holder but I thought it was nice for the grade.

I wondered why my initial post looked different than all of the rest -- so, let's try again
Here is my S-196
And, here is another "accross the rom" var. :

Hey rwidok -
Thanks for the repost. Lovely! Will make me embarrassed to put up my poorly photographed AG when I get around to it...

That "across the room" S-202 is incredible! Here's mine, in a very late die state:

Looking forward to seeing your S-196 -- hey, an AG is just as neat as an AU. You should have seen some of the dogs I got rid of over the years.
I like your late state. I've looked at it before - I had your website bookmarked until I had to restore my C drive just before Christmas. Congrats on the N-3 !!

rwidoc. your S-202 is an absolute work of art ! It certainly has all of the "got to have it" characteristics for an early date.

OK, still having trouble getting decent lighting on this, and barely readable, but not a terrible coin for $12
01-12-2012, 12:41 AM
And I'm with Dennis, rwidoc! That 202 is amazing!

More pics to come over the weekend! Just id'd a much nicer specimen that was in a long lost nook and/or cranny.

Rod - love the S-202, 196 is not chopped liver either.
