Participation is down in the second challenge, but DennisCD and Jazzysjets are certifiable experts.... The coin shown is an S-164 M-LDS Breen IV. In this state there is die sinking at the lower curls and 17 in the date, resulting in swelling in the coin. Raised areas from rusted dies traverse the obverse and clashing from MERI is evident at the dentils at 4K. I grade the coin a 45+ Net 45 A+, Bill Noyes grades a 40 Net 40 A+; Del Bland a 45..........and for Jazzyjets TR grades a 45+ 45 A+.
DennisDCs question in the last grading challenge prompted me to post this particular coin for a second challenge. I won't disclose the variety. Let's see what you you can do on grade and condition. Feel free to add any comments to your response. The experts have graded the coin. I'll disclose the grades (and variety) next week....including an explanation of the coin
