View Full Version : In the market for Liberty Cap large cents
10-31-2012, 10:43 PM
I've been noticing threads on the forum about alternatives to eBay. Buyers feel frustration over that auction venue as much as sellers do. If any of you folks have choice low to mid grade (I collect mostly VG7 to VG10) Liberty Cap large cents, please keep me in mind before you head to eBay. I imagine other members would also like to have a heads up on sales of their favorite copper. Not to mention keeping the money in the family:D. Could be the start of something good. Post a response if you feel the same.

Cappy....I'm down with that....I'd much rather buy from an EAC member than on the open
market....much more trustworthy here. Quite a few members offer their FPLs in the "Buy,Sell,Trade" section.
I always ask for those to find my wanted coppers.

I agree buying in the group is always a better idea. I am always looking for other price lists from EAC members, over the last couple months I have looked through 3 and purchased from 2. Each time I had coins sent I found ones that I was happy with. I would suggest Rod Burress if you haven't looked at his list yet.

Thanks Camlov. As a matter of fact I talked to Rod today and ordered coin envelopes & liners. I asked him about his list as well. He has one but (as he said) I have chosen a tough series and he has nothing like that. I've done pretty well though. So well that I'm out of cash until the first of the year, LOL. Easy to do with Caps. Happy Thanksgiving to all. I send a wish that the NY, NJ area will have something to be thankful about!
