Here's Hugh's R8 quiz 143: Are these stars the same size as on 1843 N4, the obverse of '42 with reverse of '44? Is this the same style of date punches as used for 1839 N8 Head of 1840? What variety is this? By the way, are you tired of hearing at shows "Are you looking for varieties?" What clearly-showing feature of this reverse die was not hubbed? True or False--in Naftzger III 9/7/2009 appeared the piece of this variety in the earliest die state seen, a "state a specimen". Enjoy!239240
